Meet Tish
Local roots, thoughtful connections.
Tish Carreira is a Hawaiʻi-born and raised community builder with deep family ties throughout the islands. Raised on Oʻahu, she later raised her children on Kauaʻi and now calls Maui home, where she enjoys time with her grandchildren. With extended family across Hawaiʻi, Tish understands island life not as an observer, but through the everyday experiences of the people and communities she cares about.
While many publications are shaped by publishers outside Hawaiʻi, Island Business Connect is grounded in Tish's firsthand understanding of the state's economic realities and daily life. She created it as a modern, community-centered marketplace for the services, opportunities, and resources local families, entrepreneurs, and small businesses need—giving island voices a trusted place to be seen, found, and connected.
